Ledger Watch and Ledger Data
The Ledgers are free to read and reuse, and they stay that way. In 2027 USCLI plans two services built on them: alerts for people who need to know the day a law moves, included with membership, and structured data for teams. Join the waitlist and we will write to you once, with details and pricing, before anything launches.
- Part of
- Get Involved
Neither service exists yet, and membership applications are not open. Nothing is for sale and no dues or payments are collected. Joining a waitlist is one email to USCLI; it creates no obligation on either side.
Ledger Watch, included with membership
Ledger Watch is planned as a benefit of USCLI membership, not a separate purchase. Choose the states and Ledgers you work under. When a law or rule you follow changes, takes effect, or moves as a pending bill, you get a short email with the entry, the date, and the link to the official source.
Your states, your Ledgers
Follow any mix of the Licensing, Officer and Forensic Ledgers in any of the 50 states and DC.
Checked before it is sent
The monitor reads legislatures, registers and agency pages every hour. A person confirms each change against the official source before an alert goes out.
Pending bills, not only enacted law
Bills in your states that would change a Ledger entry, with their status as they move.
Ledger Data, for teams
For firms, agencies, training academies, schools and newsrooms that use the Ledgers in their own work.
Structured and dated
Every entry across the three Ledgers with its citation, effective date, source link and change history, in one consistent format.
Alerts for the whole team
Ledger Watch for every seat, with shared state lists.
A person to ask
Questions about an entry or its source go to the people who researched it.
Free today, and staying free
Every Ledger page, entry and dataset is free to read and to reuse under CC BY 4.0 with credit to USCLI. The paid services will sell convenience, alerts and support, never access to the facts.
Effective Dates
What takes effect next and what just changed, across every Ledger.
Archive
Every edition of the Ledgers, dated and downloadable.
State Desk
Every Ledger for one state on one page.
Each Ledger also publishes an Atom feed for feed readers and its full entry list as JSON: Licensing, Officer, Forensic.
What to expect
- We use a waitlist email only to tell you about the service you asked about. We do not share or sell it. See the privacy notice.
- Dues and Ledger Data prices will be published before anything opens. Dues and payments to USCLI are not deductible as charitable contributions.
- Alerts and data are information, not legal advice or legal notice. The official source controls.
